1988 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce
Due to nine spine surgeries, I can no longer drive a car with a clutch, so I must sell my baby. She is a condition 2, 1988 Alfa Spider Veloce with only 34,800 miles. Runs perfect and all synchros in the 5-speed are great. Zero rust, always garaged and covered since new. She has been driven 2,000 miles in the past 10 years and never in rain. Air conditioning blows cold. Power windows and mirrors work perfect and windshield has zero rock pecks. All glass is original and is perfect condition with no delamination.
New parts include: Pioneer radio (I have the original); speakers in door panels (original speakers had dry rotted); walnut shit knob (have original); five Pirelli P4 tires; all five wheels look new, no curb rash, no nicks; top replaced in 2008 and still looks new with clear back window; water pump; brake master cylinder; spare tire well; catalytic converter; muffler; ANSA exhaust; oxygen sensor; all belts; air filter; fluids in transmission and rear differential drained and replaced; brakes and brake hoses; and each year she gets fresh oil and filter. She is super clean inside with NO cracks in dash and ALL instruments work like new. Tan seats are clean and soft, shows little wear, and there are no tears or splits. Only fault on interior is it has faded brown carpet. Alfa’s brown carpet never held up well under the sun, so it has faded. In places it nearly looks orange.
At the 2011 AROC national convention, she placed third in a combined class for series 3 and series 4 Spiders. She comes with original leather bound folder with factory manuals, Road Atlas and original pen, plus Alfa Romeo Owner’s Bible, a complete Workshop Manual, and a copy of the September 2011 edition of Alfa Owner with her pictured at the Concours. Factory tool set in bag is included, too.
Car-fax is clean and has never been in accident or even a door ding! I can shoot any photos you would like or better yet, come see her in person, and take her for a test drive. I think you will be pleased. The sport springs, Koni shocks and new Pirellis make for an awesome handling car.
I hope to find her a good home. Sitting in a garage and not getting exercised, is not good for her health. She is priced at $11,500. Sports Car Market price guide has it listed from a low of $5,300 to a high sale of $46,200. The median sales price has risen 12% in the past couple of years. All Alfas have been under valued for years.
